How to Relax After A Long Day.

You woke up on a Monday morning to your alarm and you’ve already snoozed it five. times before.

Then it hits you, you slept through your first class of the week. So you get all your stuff together and run out the door to go to class and then you trip over the sidewalk in front of everyone. Today jut isn’t your day.

I’m sure we all have had days where we’ve forgotten about a paper that was due, tripped, or locked ourselves out of our room or car before. Believe me, if I had a dollar for every time I missed class, fell, forgot something or locked myself out I would be set for life.

If anyone has struggled with any of those things and has just had a long, hard, or just off day, here’s a few ways you can relax and feel better after a long day of mess ups.

  1. Treat yourself

Usually if I wake up late and don’t have time to look nice, I end up feeling gross and a little down because I literally just got out of bed and left. So when I’m not feeling too good physically, or even emotionally, I love to spend hours just treating myself. What I mean by this Is take a long shower, scrub and shave everything and everywhere. Do a hair mask, just take your time. Then once you get out of the shower, do a hair and face mask, and use your expensive lotion. Do your hair, who cares if you’re not going anywhere, you’ll feel amazing afterwards.

2. Exercise

I know this might sound weird for some, like exercise, why? I hate working out. Why can’t I just eat junk food? Well, you’ll probably feel even worse after that cuz you’ll feel gross and bloated. But if you work out you might not like it during but after you will feel so much better, like you somewhat have your life together. You’ll regret having a candy bar but you’ll never regret working out.

3. Journal

This is one of my favorite things to do. If I’ve had an off day or have a problem that I jut don’t know what to do with I’ll just write it all down in my journal. It helps so much to figure out what you really want to do. It’s kind of the same concept of talking your problems out except writing it all down. It’s very relaxing and calming.

4. Company

This is the most important one in my opinion. Who you spend your time with can determine your mood for the day, for the best or worst. I’m sure we’ve all had a time when were in a great mood and then someone comes and complains to you about there day and it just brings you dow emotionally. That’s why it’s so important to surround yourself with people who will boost you up and support you. Find friends that feel like Family.

Well, that’s all I have for you guys today, so until next time, I hope everyone has a wonderful day!!

fullsizeoutput_2354

oh yea, we went to Anaheim Packing house! This was my first time going and I was blown away! there was so much food and all of it looked so good! I ended up getting some Boba and fries and it was too good to not take pictures, I mean, just look at it!

IMG_0430

we also went to a night market in LA where we also got boba in a lightbulb! They had lights strung up everywhere and it was so aesthetic!

fullsizeoutput_239b

forget the fact that it’s a little blurry, it was an amazing night and sometimes blurry pictures mean great memories!

we also went down to the Santa Monica Pier!

IMG_8183

This was me and my friend Harrisons first Time on the pier so you know we had to walk the Pier and take some pictures!

The next day we went to the town of Hermosa and stayed there for a night. and the beach and town is so cute!!

kRvBRRv+np3P+KxLdAA

This is just a little bit of the town. It wasn’t that crowded but the beach was beautiful!!

So we stayed and watched to sunset on the beach, and then we decided to wake up at the crack of dawn to watch to sun rise, in the beach.

We’re not always morning people, but it was by far worth it.

FVorgvbHQj6vdDjnSaZ3Uw

I was only there for a week but I got to see a lot and try a lot of new things!

So on my last day we went around LA down town and walked around until I had to go to the airport.

So that’s it for today!

I just thought I would show you guys a little bit of my trip I took this summer.

fullsizeoutput_2550

The Trip of a Life Time!

So my Junior and Senior year of High School I had the amazing opportunity to go overseas and serve others on the amazing Island of the Philippines.

IMG_9943

Pagudpud, Philippines is where we stayed. And little did I know that this place would soon become my home away from home. One of my family friends takes people one a year to help serve the community here by helping people get medical care, build churches, and help with the kids. We stayed at a hospital/homecare place shown below.

DCIM106MEDIADJI_0038.JPG

One of my favorite things to do after a long day of traveling around town, helping the community is to go up to what we called, the Nest. It was a ladder that led to. proof top view of the amazing town, and when the sun would set, it was magical.

on the left side, the blue building, is where the whole town hold church service. The inside is beautiful and is also where we had worship every morning.

IMG_1759

thats the inside of the church and honey this picture doesn’t do it justice.

missionaries just like I was actually built this church for the community here so they could have a place to come and fellowship. how great is that?

fullsizeoutput_138

here we have our local beach that we would usually walk to before church would start, or as the sun would set we would go and walk the beach or play volleyball on the beach.

playing volleyball was a wonderful way to get to know the locals and children in the area. All the kids would go and play at the beach seemingly all day.

IMG_1609

The kids were full of happiness even though they haven’t grown up with nearly as much as most of us have. It was so humbling to see their smiling faces despite their homes, lack of toys, or technology. They are so creative, like the boy in the picture made his own toy with a trash bag and some sticks!

IMG_1772

probably one of my favorite places we got to go see was this beautiful waterfall which was a hike near Caunayan that lead you to this waterfall where we all went swimming in.

On the drive back we got to see the sun set and it was the most gorgeous thing ever after a long hike and swimming in the jungle.

IMG_1777

The friends and memories this place made for me I will never forget. It was so hard to say goodbye to everyone along with the Never ending sunsets, the overly humid weather, and long sandy beaches. The Philippines will always have apart of heart and I can’t wait to go back.

IMG_1569

So until next time, I hope you have a wonderful day.

Photography Tips!

1. From the side.

Girls look their skinniest from the side. look At the difference below!

this is front on.

fullsizeoutput_2fc6

and this is from the side!

fullsizeoutput_2fdf

2. Use props!

whether it is a jacket, food, or even a leaf, props work wonders and bring a different element to your pictures.

3.  Lines!

lines draw our attention. so if you have a line across your picture, it will draw even more attention to your photos. If they are in front or behind, shapes or lines, it works.

here’s some examples!

4. face on (for guys).

I wanted to add one or two tips for the guys as well. So for the girls I mentioned from the side is the best, well for the guys it s opposite. If you modeled a guy is the same position as a girl, from the side, odds are they would look very feminine. To make guys look their most masculine, having them face the camera is the best way to do so. Here’s an example!

IMG_4858

5. Head tilt.

Now head tilts for girls are very common, but not as much for guys. Not many guys will tilt their head for pictures but it sure does make a difference no matter how small it is. It shows a softer side while showing off your jaw line!

P.S. if you clench your jaw you jaw line will. become more prominent in your pictures!

Well that’s all I have for today!

So until next time, have a great day!

Favorite Coffee Runs!

I don’t know about you, but I love my coffee!

2. Tony’s Sub Shop.

IMG_5990

Okay, I know this place isn’t a coffee shop but they do have good coffee!

And the vibes here are amazing vintage vibes.

they also have really good subs too!

3. Capitol Hill Coffee.

img_6707.jpg

This place is honestly my favorite place to go for coffee when I’m back home in Seattle. the environment is amazing and so unique. I love it!

I always have to stop by when I go home.

4. Some Place Downtown.

CABC0DD9-93FD-4C0D-9417-C6450B9A26DF

I don’t even know where this coffee shop was. I was just along for the ride and ended up here. but the coffee was amazing and they even had records for sale in the shop! All I know was it was in downtown Seattle.

well that’s all I have for today! I hope you enjoyed the pictures and the different coffee shop places, I hope it gave you an idea for your next coffee run!

Dorm Room Tour!

Hello Everyone!

Today I decided to do a dorm room tour and show you guys around and give you a few ideas and DIY’s! So when you walk into my room this is what you see. My side is on the right and my roommates side is on the left. I Have hardly put anything up on my side because I am still trying tho figure out how to hang things on the brick wall.

IMG_4586

Oh! Also we have black out curtains that make our room pitch black which are extremely helpful after a long day. you might be wondering why they aren’t in the picture then. well, that’s because one night, the rod on my side fell and our curtains collapsed. so were in the middle of putting them back up.

IMG_4587

On the left side when you walk in is our counter and sink space. Last year we had lights hung up around our mirror and we loved it so we had to do it again this year. Theres a tip, hanging lights around your mirror will make the light twice as strong and will look like there’s two strips instead of one!

IMG_4584

This is one of my favorite ideas I had for our room. We have very little storage space and so we had to get creative. we had this small award space to fill with too much stuff. So, we decided to make it a little coffee station with our Keurig Coffee maker with some coffee, mugs, and plates/bowls.

IMG_4618

Here we have my beautiful roommate, and wonderful friend hanging out on my roommates bed. Aren’t they so cute!

Another little DIY tip, the Urban Outfitters frame, that’s a bag put inside a frame! Easy and cheap! perfect for a College Student.

IMG_4613

Here we have my side! I love pillows and Blankets so pardon all of the pillows and stuffed animals. As you can see I’ve started to put some pictures up but I’m not quite finished yet.

IMG_4597

Since we don’t have a lot of storage space and we have a lot of clothes, and food, I lifted my bed to give us more space. I would really suggest getting the white cubes for more storage, they’re sturdy yet surprisingly light. You can get them at IKEA, they also have a set of four cubes if that works better for you.

Since I raised my bed, getting into bed was a little difficult so I decided to go to Bed Bath & Beyond and get a little storage box I can use for even more storage, and to get into bed easier.

And yes, our fridge is underneath my bed as well.

IMG_4614

Moving on we have my study desk.

I had no clue what to put on the brick wall that wouldn’t fall so just I decided to put up more polaroids in different sections like that.

On the right side you may see a mirror, that was so difficult to hang up! But it was well worth it, for the price and how cute it is!

Next to my desk is our semi-walk in closet. Once it started to get cold we decided to get a rug for our closet and it is the softest thing ever! I would show you guys our closet but I couldn’t photograph it very well.

We also have a black bean bag chair thats so comfortable for those who come and visit us!

Well I hope you got some ideas on how to decorate your room and until next time, here’s a picture of me and my roommate!

See you next time!

Reaching Your Goal.

IMG_4488

So often we say to ourselves, “I could do that but,” or, “I wish I could do that but..”

Well here’s a few ideas on how to reach your goal.

Part of the reason why you can’t reach your goals and dreams is probably because you’re scared of failure, or just to lazy, and have no clue where to start.

  1. Get Comfortable with Failure.

If you want to succeed in any way, you have to be comfortable with failure because that’s when you learn and make the most progress towards your goals.

2. Be Careful Who You Surround Yourself With.

If you really want to reach your goal, you need surround yourself with people who are just as driven to accomplish there goal as you are, or want to be. This will push you to you goal because those around you will be able to hold you accountable for what you do.

3. Research.

Before you do anything, research. Look up how people reached your goal and where they started. Do your research daily, this will get you thinking about it and what your first step should be. You’ll also be more knowledgable of the big picture on what it takes to get where you want to be.

If you follow these three steps you will be on the ring path to achieving your goal. I wish you all the best of luck!
